Compare Creamy Touch Liner if you want a gel tip, or Lasting Liquid Liner if you prefer a brush. Before buying, remember two less obvious differences: the gel cannot be retracted, and the liquid’s warm-water removal claim applies when used alone, not automatically to a complete eye-makeup look.[1][2]

I’m Irene, a Taiwanese pharmacist licensed in Japan. This guide explains Japanese product information; it is not a hands-on product test.
Sources checked on 23 October 2026, Japan time. This guide compares the Japanese Creamy Touch Liner 01 Deep Black and Lasting Liquid Liner 01 Black. It excludes Sheer, Slim Liquid, limited shades and all-shade rankings.
- Two black “01” shades, two different applicators
- Choose the handling routine before the colour
- Expose a little gel, and do not force it back
- If the liquid looks faint, check the brush before pressing harder
- Removal depends on the rest of your makeup, too
- Keep application on the outer eyelid skin

Two black “01” shades, two different applicators
Creamy Touch Liner 01 Deep Black
Japanese name: クリーミータッチライナー 01 ディープブラック. Product code 4901008310589. The gel tip is 1.5mm across, but the amount to expose is only about 1mm. Diameter and exposed length are different measurements.[1][4]
Lasting Liquid Liner 01 Black
Japanese name: ラスティングリキッドライナー 01 ブラック. Product code 4901008309743. CANMAKE describes a 0.1mm brush tip; that is not a promise that every line you draw will measure 0.1mm.[2][5]
Choose the handling routine before the colour
| Question | Creamy Touch gel | Lasting Liquid |
|---|---|---|
| Dispensing | Twist out about 1mm; cannot retract | Brush application; no gel tip to twist out |
| After use | Click the cap closed to prevent drying | Wipe the tip gently without flattening it; close the cap |
| Removal | Official-linked store recommends eye-makeup remover | Warm water when used alone; check removal needs of other layers |
These are manufacturer directions, not results of my own waterproof test or a wear-time ranking. Both have water- and smudge-resistance claims. Those do not guarantee identical wear on every eyelid, or make sleeping in eye makeup a good idea.[1][2][4][5]
Expose a little gel, and do not force it back
- At first use: CANMAKE’s FAQ describes roughly ten clicks of the twist mechanism to bring out the tip. Stop when about 1mm is exposed. This is not ten full revolutions or an instruction to repeat ten clicks every day.
- Stop at about 1mm: the core is soft. A long exposed section is unnecessary; apply with a light touch.
- Do not force the mechanism backwards: the tip cannot retract. The official-linked store warns that forcing the container backwards can damage it.
- Close it after use: listen for the cap to click. Later, a stiff mechanism can indicate that the core is finished; forcing it is not a way to obtain more product.[1][3][4]
If the liquid looks faint, check the brush before pressing harder
For first use or poor colour flow, CANMAKE suggests leaving Lasting Liquid tip-down for a while, or checking the colour on the back of the hand. After use, gently remove makeup, skin oil and sweat from the brush with tissue or similar material. Avoid flattening, pulling or wiping the bristles forcefully.[2][3][5]
The same official FAQ includes horizontal-storage advice, but that paragraph is for Slim Liquid Eyeliner, not Lasting Liquid. Read the model heading as well as the question. Similar names do not make every pen-care instruction interchangeable.[3]
Removal depends on the rest of your makeup, too
- Gel: choose an eye-area makeup remover and follow its own amounts and steps rather than repeatedly scrubbing.
- Liquid used alone: its stated removal method is warm water. “お湯” is not an instruction to put hot water into your eyes.
- Eyeshadow, mascara or base products layered with it: check each product’s removal directions. One warm-water-removable liner does not make every other layer removable that way.[2][4]
Keep application on the outer eyelid skin
This guide does not recommend applying either liner to the wet inner rim, waterline, eye mucosa or eyeball. “Filling gaps between lashes” should not become an instruction to push a pen into the eye. Wash your hands, do not share these eye-area applicators, and avoid use on wounded, swollen, eczematous or otherwise abnormal skin. Do not use eye makeup during an eye infection; discard eye cosmetics used when the infection developed.[5][6][7]
Stop if redness, swelling, itching, irritation, pale patches or darkening develops, including reactions after sun exposure, and seek dermatological advice. If product enters an eye, do not rub; rinse thoroughly with water immediately. See an eye doctor if discomfort remains after rinsing. Finishing the line is not a reason to continue through irritation.[5]
Close both pens securely and keep them away from young children, direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Lasting Liquid also warns against humid or wet storage locations and staining clothes. Read the full precautions on your own pack before use.[4][5]
