Melano CC Enzyme Face Wash: How to Use the Japanese 130g Tube

Official Japanese Melano CC Deep Clear Enzyme Face Wash 130g tube. Japan Drugstore Guides

Melano CC Deep Clear Enzyme Face Wash 130g is a rinse-off cleanser. Put about 2–3 cm into your palm, lather with water or lukewarm water, wash gently, then rinse. Rohto describes it as suitable for daily morning and evening cleansing. That is a use option, not a requirement to wash twice a day or a guarantee that every skin type will tolerate it.

Find the 130g tube marked “酵素洗顔”

  • English name: Melano CC Deep Clear Enzyme Face Wash.
  • Japanese name: メラノCC ディープクリア酵素洗顔. The characters 酵素洗顔 identify the enzyme face wash.
  • This guide covers: the Japanese 130g product, barcode/JAN 4987241173242, a cosmetic. Its registered sales name is RロートホワイトCW.

The official product image shows the tube itself. You do not need to find a serum-style carton to identify it. Check the name, size and label on the actual item; regional Melano CC names do not by themselves establish identical formulas or instructions.

Where does it fit beside the regular and Premium serums?

The 130g cleanser is washed off. The regular and Premium Melano CC serums are separate leave-on products, classified as quasi-drugs in Japan. Shared branding and vitamin C do not make them interchangeable. Do not leave this cleanser on an acne mark overnight as though it were serum.

Finish cleansing and rinsing before your leave-on skincare. Rohto’s example sequence is cleanser, lotion/toner, mask, serum, gel/cream/emulsion, then daytime UV emulsion. This shows where products fit; it is not a shopping list requiring every step. Follow the directions for the products you actually use.

Three steps: dispense, lather, rinse

  1. Dispense into your palm. The manufacturer’s guide is a strip about 2–3 cm long, not a coin-sized amount or a line drawn directly onto your face.
  2. Lather with water or lukewarm water. Make foam in your hands before washing. Do not use the undiluted cleanser as a clay mask.
  3. Wash gently and rinse off. The instructions do not include a timed waiting period to let the enzymes “work.”

If you have used individually packed enzyme powders, the practical difference is simple: this one comes ready to dispense from a tube. You still lather it and rinse it away.

What the enzyme, vitamin C and clay mean here

  • Protease: the enzyme, listed as a cleansing ingredient. The formula removes dirt and old surface skin cells.
  • Ascorbic acid: vitamin C, described as a skin-conditioning and moisturising ingredient in this cleanser.
  • Kaolin: a clay and cleansing ingredient used to help remove impurities from pores.

These are reasons to understand its role as a cleanser. They do not establish that it treats acne, erases existing dark spots or repairs acne scars. Cleaning impurities from pores does not mean making pores disappear. Claims associated with a leave-on medicated serum should not be transferred to the face wash.

Daily-use directions still leave room for your skin

Rohto recommends it for people looking for a daily enzyme wash and describes morning and evening use. This does not mean everyone with sensitive skin can use it comfortably, or that more washing gives better results. It has a citrus fragrance, which is worth noting when choosing skincare.

Do not use on skin with wounds, swelling, eczema or other abnormalities. Stop and consult a dermatologist if redness, swelling, itching, irritation, loss of skin colour/white patches or darkening develops during use or after sunlight exposure following use. You do not need to finish the tube if your skin is reacting.

Keep the foam out of your eyes. If it gets in, rinse immediately without rubbing. Seek an eye doctor’s advice if a gritty sensation or another problem remains.

Questions before your first wash

Do I need a foaming net?

The official instructions say to lather with water or lukewarm water; they do not require a net. Lathering first and washing gently are the important steps.

Can it replace every makeup-removal step?

Do not assume this face wash removes every kind of makeup or water-resistant sunscreen. Follow the removal instructions on those products rather than assuming “deep clear” means all makeup can be washed away.

How long can I keep it after opening?

Rohto advises using it promptly, with around six months as a guide after opening. Use and storage conditions matter. Stop using it if its colour or smell becomes abnormal. Trying one tube before stocking up also gives you time to see whether it fits your routine.

The useful takeaway: choose this 130g tube for the cleansing step, lather it, and rinse it off. There is no need to scrub harder or keep washing longer to live up to the words on the tube.
