ACNES LABO Patches in Japan: Night-Use vs Premium Buying Check

Complete official photos of ACNES LABO night-use Point Patch 30 and Premium Point Patch 30, distinguishing specified-cream use from no-cream-needed requirements. Japan Drugstore Guides

Does a packet of ACNES LABO point patches mean you can simply stick one on? Read the full name first: the night-use and Premium versions have different prerequisites. This is not a ranking of which patch treats acne best. It is a buying check to avoid discovering that a required product is missing—or covering an existing medicine without checking.

Similar packets, different cream requirements

Current official photographs of the 30-patch night-use and Premium ACNES LABO packs, with a named-cream consultation scene for night use and clean, dry skin after washing and the “no cream needed” instruction for Premium.
The night-use version names ACNES LABO 薬用スポッツクリーム or 薬用美白アクネホワイトクリーム. This does not authorize covering any ointment. Check the cream’s suitability separately; you do not need to buy extra products to complete a set.

Night-use point patches: the packet is not the complete combination

The official 30-patch product is 「夜用 ポイントパッチ[集中ケアシート]」, supplied as two sheets of 15. The patch packet does not include either cream.

If you do not have the specified product, do not assume your acne medicine, prescription or skincare cream is a substitute. Show the full names and what you already use to a pharmacist or the manufacturer. You do not need to buy an extra cream just to complete the set: whether that cream suits you is a separate question.

Premium point patches: no accompanying cream is needed

The Premium 30-patch pack has a different instruction: apply directly to clean, dry skin after washing, then do skincare or makeup. The manufacturer says no cream is needed. Applying the patch after skincare or makeup can make it less secure.

Its stated role is covering and protecting the area from dryness and friction. The word “Premium” or an ingredient name does not establish that it is an acne medicine or will make a spot disappear overnight.

Three questions before checkout

  1. Which packet is it? Check 「夜用」 or 「プレミアム」 and the complete name—not just the brand or patch count.
  2. How were you planning to use it? A specified-cream combination and a direct-to-skin patch have different prerequisites. Neither gives a universal order for all patches.
  3. Are the skin area and your existing medicines suitable? If skin is broken, bleeding or visibly abnormal, or you already use acne medicine and do not know whether a patch can be added, check first rather than experimenting with covering it. Show the packaging, medicine names and skin concern to a pharmacist; seek dermatological advice if the skin problem is unclear.

Read the full precautions on the actual product before purchase. Watch for skin abnormalities during use and stop if it does not suit your skin. This guide does not diagnose acne or wounds and gives no squeezing, puncturing or scraping instructions.

Do not transfer “medicated” or “hydrocolloid” claims between products

The official page identifies the named creams as Japanese quasi-drugs. That does not transfer their classification or effects to the separately sold patches. This guide does not infer a patch’s legal classification from a similar packet or an ingredient name.

A shared hydrocolloid material does not make a wound dressing and a spot patch interchangeable. See the Kizupowerpad guide for its uses and exclusions, or the PAIR acne medicine guide for medicine-specific considerations. Neither link authorizes combining those products with these patches.

The useful choice is not necessarily more products: first check whether this packet’s prerequisites match the problem you actually need help with.
