Choose a ROSY ROSA sponge around your foundation routine. For liquid or cream foundation and a damp-sponge method, start with Jelly Touch House 6P. For powder foundation or targeted concealer, start with Chiffon Touch N Diamond. Neither is a sponge onto which you should simply pump liquid foundation.

Official Japanese information checked October 22, 2026 (Japan time). Two exact products only; similarly named value packs and makeup puffs are outside this comparison.
Choose by the job you need it to do
| Your routine | First candidate | Check before buying |
|---|---|---|
| Liquid/cream foundation; happy to dampen a sponge | Jelly Touch House 6P | Wet and squeeze first; put foundation on the face, not the sponge |
| Powder foundation applied dry | Chiffon Touch N Diamond | Dry use is listed; wet use also requires a compatible foundation |
| Small-area concealer blending | Chiffon Touch N Diamond | Apply concealer to skin, then tap with the tip |
| Immediate packing in a closed bag after use | Fix the drying plan first | Both must dry thoroughly before storage |
Jelly Touch House 6P

The manufacturer’s method starts by saturating the sponge with water and squeezing it firmly. It expands when wet and returns to its original size when dry. Six pieces are useful only if this preparation and drying routine fits your day.
Chiffon Touch N Diamond

The listed uses focus on powder foundation and concealer. The powder instructions allow dry use or wet use after firmly squeezing out the water. Its rounded corners provide a smaller working edge; they do not guarantee greater coverage.
The absorption warning applies to both
Both official pages warn against putting liquid or cream foundation directly on the sponge because it is highly absorbent. For Jelly Touch, dot the foundation onto the forehead, nose and cheeks with your fingers first. Then gently tap it into place with the prepared damp sponge.
For Chiffon concealer use, put the concealer on the area you want to cover and blend gently with the sponge tip. If liquid foundation is your main task, Jelly Touch is the clearer starting point in this two-product guide because its official instructions explicitly set out that wet-blending routine. This is not a claim that Chiffon must never touch liquid foundation.
Wet-compatible sponge does not mean every powder can be used wet
Jelly Touch gives a method for foundation intended for wet application: after wetting and squeezing the sponge, pick up an appropriate amount and spread it over the skin. Chiffon also describes both dry and wet powder application. Check your foundation’s own directions before introducing water; the sponge’s instructions do not override the makeup’s instructions.
There is no wear-time promise, sunscreen claim or first-hand coverage test here. Formula, quantity and application technique affect the result. Start with your foundation’s directions rather than assuming a different sponge requires more product.
Cleaning and replacement without an invented countdown
- When dirty, wash gently by hand in lukewarm water containing diluted neutral kitchen detergent.
- Rinse thoroughly, remove excess water and air-dry in the shade.
- Let the sponge dry fully before storage. Replace it when its texture becomes coarse, as the manufacturer advises; neither page sets a universal number of days.
Keep both clean and out of children’s reach, and stop if they do not agree with your skin. Jelly Touch specifies a container that blocks light and avoidance of direct sunlight. Chiffon also warns against extreme temperatures and humid storage. A storage container is not a substitute for drying first.
Finding the right pack in Japan
Match the full name: Jelly Touch says ハウス型6P (“house shape, six pieces”); Chiffon says N ダイヤ型 (“N diamond shape”). Do not transfer these directions to a Value pack, a different shape or a makeup puff just because the branding looks similar.
For visitors changing hotels: decide where you will dry a used sponge before choosing a damp-application routine. Do not plan to seal it away wet. “6P” is the pack count, not an instruction to discard one every day.
For residents ordering replacements: compare the product codes above before comparing prices. Cost per piece helps within an identical product, but one large diamond and one small house sponge are not interchangeable units of value. Check current shelf prices and availability rather than treating an old online review as a current offer.
