Heroine Make Mascara Guide 2026: Advanced Film vs Super WP N, Long vs Volume

Four Japanese KISSME Heroine Make mascara packages: Advanced Film Long and Volume, and Super WP N Long and Volume Japan Drugstore Guides
Irene

I’m Irene, a Taiwanese-born, Japanese-licensed pharmacist working in a Japanese drugstore. Heroine Make’s mascara shelf can look confusing at first. I would start with how you want to remove it at night, then choose length or volume.

This guide compares KISSME Heroine Make Advanced Film versus Super WP N: two finishes in each family, all Japanese-market products. You’ll find the complete Japanese names, whole-package photos and the brush instructions that are easy to mix up.

The quickest way to choose

  • Everyday wear with a simpler removal routine: start with Advanced Film. It needs warm water followed by facial cleanser.
  • Wear resistance is your priority: start with Super WP N and have a suitable waterproof-mascara remover ready.
  • Longer-looking, separated lashes: choose Long.
  • A fuller, more noticeable lash look: choose Volume.

These are shopping recommendations based on the products’ designs, rather than a personal wear test. Your lashes, application and eye-area skincare can change the result.

Four Japanese mascaras, two separate decisions

All four contain 6 g. The current Super WP product names include N; older stock and overseas listings may use different names. This is a focused comparison, not the brand’s entire mascara range.

ProductFinish and brushRemoval
Long & Curl Advanced Film5 mm fibers; curved brushWarm water, then facial cleanser
Volume & Curl Advanced Film2 mm fibers; volumizing powder and spoon-shaped brushWarm water, then facial cleanser
Long UP Super WP NLong EX fibers; separating curved brushMascara remover or oil-based cleanser
Volume UP Super WP NFuller finish; wide curved brushMascara remover or oil-based cleanser

Both families are designed to hold curl. The brand’s FAQ ranks its Super Waterproof family above Advanced Film for durability, making removal an important part of the choice.

Match the package before choosing a shade

Read the family name, then Long or Volume, then the shade. Cap color alone is an unreliable shortcut across packaging updates and regional ranges. These are the current Japanese official images for shade 01.

Advanced Film: length or fullness with the same removal method

Long & Curl uses 5 mm fibers to build a longer-looking lash line. Its curved brush is the starting point I would consider for a length-focused look.

Volume & Curl combines shorter 2 mm fibers with volumizing powder. Its spoon-shaped brush picks up more formula for a fuller base and tapered tips. Consider it if you want more lash presence while keeping the Advanced Film removal routine.

The instructions for both AF brushes: use the inside curve, gently wiggle at the roots, then glide straight towards the tips. Stop the side-to-side movement as you reach the ends. Starting with a controlled amount gives you more room to adjust the look.

Super WP N: prioritize wear resistance and plan removal

Long UP N combines Long EX fibers with a separating curved brush. The design emphasizes building length while combing through lashes.

Volume UP N has a wider curved brush that carries more formula. ISEHAN describes the updated texture as easier to control and less likely to transfer onto the eyelid, with scope for separated or grouped lashes. Those are manufacturer claims, not a guarantee of your result.

The application difference matters: Long N calls for a wiggle at the roots followed by a straight stroke to the tips. Volume N calls for the side of the brush and a straight stroke from root to tip, without wiggling. Curl lashes first and load the brush as directed.

The brand’s 30-hour durability data comes from its own testing, with individual variation. It is not a recommendation to wear mascara continuously for 30 hours. Remove your eye makeup at night.

How to remove each family

Advanced Film: warm water first, cleanser second

  1. Thoroughly soften the mascara with lukewarm water, around 38°C / 100°F.
  2. Gently wash with well-lathered facial cleanser, then rinse.
  3. If using a separate makeup remover too, the official order is warm-water softening, makeup remover, then facial cleanser.

Warm water alone is not the complete method. Milk or gel makeup removers may feel less effective; check that you have softened the mascara thoroughly rather than rubbing harder or using hotter water.

Super WP N: use a suitable remover

The N product pages specify Heroine Make Speedy Mascara Remover or an oil-based cleanser. With the brand’s mascara remover, coat dry lashes from root to tip, combine with your usual makeup cleanser and rinse with lukewarm water; the manufacturer also allows wiping off with cotton. Follow the instructions on whichever remover you choose.

Questions worth checking before you buy

Does “third mascara” mean a new 2026 release?

No. This is the brand’s name for the Advanced Film category, combining wear resistance with warm-water-plus-cleanser removal. It does not date the product or identify its latest revision.

Can I use Advanced Film on lash extensions?

ISEHAN does not recommend it with extensions because of the handling involved in removal. “Warm-water removal” should not be taken as permission to use it on extensions.

What about contact lenses and eye comfort?

Put contacts in before applying mascara. Keep hands and tools clean, don’t share eye makeup, and stop if irritation or redness develops. If product enters an eye, rinse immediately with water or lukewarm water without rubbing. Seek medical advice if pain or a gritty feeling remains after rinsing, and bring the product.

Which shades are available?

The Japanese AF Long and Volume pages list regular 01 black and 02 brown. Long Super WP N also lists 03 gray-black; Volume N currently lists 01 black. Limited shades are separate. For a more defined look, start with black; for a softer effect, compare brown. Do not assume the same shade is available in every formula or country.

In Taiwan, the brand is called KISSME 花漾美姬. Local names and ranges differ, so use the Japanese product names above when buying Japanese stock. The labeling on your purchase takes priority.

My shopping order: removal, finish, then shade

Start with Advanced Film if the everyday removal routine appeals to you; choose Super WP N when wear resistance takes priority. Then decide between length and volume, and finally the color. Save a photo of the full product name rather than relying on “the pink-cap one” when it’s time to repurchase.
