Japanese Bouncia body wash comes out as a liquid, not ready-made foam. Start with White Soap for a clean, soapy floral scent, Airy Bouquet for a fruitier floral, or the gold Premium Moist bottle if you prefer its richer moisturising positioning. All three contain fragrance.

I’m Irene, a Taiwan-born, Japan-licensed pharmacist working in a Japanese drugstore. The swirl of foam on the bottle can make this look like a foaming dispenser. I’d check that first, then choose the scent, after-wash feel and matching refill—rather than bringing home a format that does not fit your routine.
Japanese product information checked: 20 October 2026. This guide covers the September 2026 update. Older packs may still be in shops; check your own label. Versions sold outside Japan may differ.
Choose by scent and feel, not a strength ranking
White Soap: a clean floral with musk and amber notes

Look for バウンシア ボディソープ ホワイトソープの香り. COW describes a clean floral scent with warm musk and amber. The pump contains 460 mL and the refill 340 mL. Listed moisturising ingredients include ceramide NG, shea butter, sodium hyaluronate and hydrolysed collagen.
This is the first option to consider if you like a soapy scent. “White Soap” is a fragrance name, not a fragrance-free claim or a liquid version of COW’s red- or blue-box soap bars.
Airy Bouquet: floral with a fresh fruity note

Look for バウンシア ボディソープ エアリーブーケの香り. The manufacturer describes a floral bouquet with a fresh fruity touch. The pump is also 460 mL, the refill 340 mL, and the named moisturising ingredients are the same as White Soap’s.
Scent is the most direct way to choose between these two. A pink bottle does not establish weaker cleansing or suitability for a particular skin type; the manufacturer does not rank them that way.
Premium Moist: the gold option with a richer moisturising focus

Look for バウンシア ボディソープ プレミアムモイスト〈しっとりタイプ〉. Its Silky Blossom scent is described as a floral-soap fragrance. The pump is 440 mL and the refill 320 mL—not the 460/340 mL sizes above.
COW positions this as a high-moisturising wash with a moisturised feel after rinsing. Its “W ceramide” label refers to ceramides NG and NP, not proof of twice the moisturising effect. Shea butter, sodium hyaluronate and hydrolysed collagen are also listed. Consider it if that after-wash positioning appeals, but ingredient counts do not predict everyone’s result or suitability.
Scent, foam and skin-feel descriptions here come from the manufacturer, not my own product testing. These are body cleansers. A moisturising claim is not an eczema treatment claim or a promise that nobody will need after-bath skincare.
Make the lather before washing
The current official demonstration uses this method:
- Wet a nylon washcloth or similar tool, then dispense two pumps of Bouncia onto it.
- Work it well while bringing air into the liquid.
- Lift and work the lather further, then use it to wash your body and rinse thoroughly.

Demonstration image: COW / Bouncia. Build the foam first rather than scrubbing your skin harder to create more. If you want foam straight from a one-handed pump, these three do not provide that format.
Check the new label, not an old ingredient summary
The manufacturer began shipping the updated range on 10 September 2026. White Soap and Airy Bouquet gained ceramide; Premium Moist moved to a two-ceramide formula. These images show the current Japanese bottles, but shops change stock at different times. An older pack alone does not mean a counterfeit.
Match the full Japanese name, size and ingredient list. For the gold bottle, look for Premium Moist on the refill and check the 320 mL size rather than buying by the Bouncia name alone.
Use the matching refill bottle—not a foam dispenser
COW instructs users to refill the same product’s container. Putting a liquid-type wash into a foam pump can stop it working or producing foam, and a different bottle can carry the wrong directions.
Before refilling a liquid-type bottle, wash its inside and pump with tap water, dry them thoroughly, add the matching refill and reassemble. Then press the pump a few times. Do not dismantle the pump mechanism. Follow the refill pack’s detailed instructions. If you do not own the matching bottle, buying the pump first avoids an unnecessary complication.
Face, babies and milk: do not guess from the brand name
- Face and hair: the manufacturer recommends facial cleanser and shampoo instead. Bouncia is designed for the body; using it on the face may cause dryness, and hair may feel rough or become harder to comb.
- Babies: COW’s FAQ recommends use from three months after birth. That is not a guarantee of suitability for every baby, or a newborn-specific claim.
- Milk allergy: COW says Bouncia contains no milk-derived ingredients, while still advising users to watch their individual skin response. The brand name alone cannot establish the presence of milk or rule out reactions to other ingredients.
Precautions before and after washing
- Do not use on skin with abnormalities, or continue if abnormalities appear.
- If it gets into the eyes, rinse immediately.
- Keep out of reach of babies and young children, away from high or low temperatures and direct sunlight.
- Formulas may change. Check the latest directions and ingredients on your own pack, particularly if you need to avoid a specific ingredient.
The quick shelf check: are you happy to make your own lather? Then choose the scent or Premium Moist positioning, and match the bottle and refill. Those checks are more useful than choosing only by colour or the foam picture.
